Keeping you safe when visiting my salon.
I hope that you are all keeping well. I wanted to let you know about the measures I have put into place in order to keep you and myself as safe as possible once I am allowed to reopen. All bookings will be subject to these conditions.
1. Screening
2. Cleaning & Disinfection
3. Social Distancing
4. Time Management
I hope that this has provided some useful information and reassurance. I will be continually reviewing the guidelines and will adjust my protocols as and when necessary.
1. Screening
- I will not be accepting bookings from clients with possible COVID-19 symptoms or those from a household where someone else has COVID-19.
2. Cleaning & Disinfection
- Clients will be asked to wash their hands with soap and water in the cloakroom on arrival and to dry their hands with paper towels which are to be disposed of in the bin provided.
- Disposable tissues will be available and must be used to cover the nose and mouth when sneezing, coughing or wiping and blowing the nose – used tissues should be disposed of in the foot pedal bin.
- All surfaces, door handles, chair handles etc. will all be disinfected between clients. Disposable tools and towels will be used where possible and metal tools will be disinfected as normal.
- I’m trained in Infection Control and will be wearing PPE appropriate to the treatment being provided. This may include gloves, apron, and surgical face mask. I have a "sneeze screen" which will be in place for all manicures. I have also completed the Barbicide COVID19 Hygiene Certification.
- Clients will be asked to minimise the personal possessions that they bring into the salon – please leave jewellery at home where possible.
3. Social Distancing
- I will be operating as always, on a 'one in one out' basis so that client-to-client contact is avoided.
4. Time Management
- Appointment slots will be generous enough to allow plenty of time for your treatment, disinfection between clients and the 'one in one out' policy.
- The usual standards of care and attention will apply, and no treatment will ever be rushed.
I hope that this has provided some useful information and reassurance. I will be continually reviewing the guidelines and will adjust my protocols as and when necessary.
